Swipes and actions
Swipe the orb
Three swipes on the Talk screen, always the same:
| Swipe | Action |
|---|---|
| Up | Start a new conversation |
| Left | Stop: end the agent's current work and the conversation |
| Right | Pause, or resume if you're paused |
Faint hints around the orb brighten as you drag toward one. A short drag springs back and does nothing, and swiping down never triggers anything, so you can't fire one by accident while scrolling.
Pausing cuts audio both ways: your agent stops hearing you and you stop hearing it. A paused conversation is still connected and still uses voice minutes, and it ends on its own after 10 minutes. To stop using minutes, swipe left.
Screen readers offer the same three actions.
The Actions menu
Open the menu (top left) and tap Actions for one-tap requests:
- Stop: interrupt what the agent is doing right now.
- Summarize: condense the conversation so far.
- Start fresh: begin a new conversation.
- What's on the list?: read back the current task list.
- Where are we?: a quick status of what it's working on.
- Switch agent: talk to a different Hermes profile.
- What has this cost?: the agent's token spend for this conversation.
- What can you do?: ask the agent what it can help with.
Everything here also works by just saying it.
