Talking to your agent
Start and end
- Start: tap the orb on the Talk screen and speak.
- End: tap End voice, or swipe left on the orb.
You don't need a wake word or a button to hold. Herald listens for the whole conversation and knows when you've finished a sentence.
Interrupt any time
Herald listens while it speaks. Start talking and it stops to hear you, just like a person would.
Who you're talking to
You're talking to your agent: its name, its personality, its memory. Herald doesn't add a persona of its own. If your agent is called Tai, Tai answers.
Conversations continue where you left off. Close the app, come back later, and your agent still remembers what you were doing. To start over, swipe up on the orb or choose New conversation from the menu.
Quick answers and real work
- Quick answers, such as a fact or a calculation, come straight back.
- Real work, such as running commands, editing files or researching, is done by your agent on its own machine, with all its usual skills and tools.
You don't need to say which kind you mean. Just ask.
Choose a voice
Open Settings → Choose a voice to pick how Herald sounds. Switching voice restarts the conversation.
Audio devices
Herald works with the phone speaker, wired headphones and Bluetooth earbuds. Tap the audio button on the Talk screen to switch between them.
